Spending a Great Holiday in Orlando

See the Best of Orlando

For family fun and a never-ending selection of places to see and enjoy, the Orlando area should be at the top of your list. Whether your pleasure is sightseeing, fun in the sun, thrilling theme parks or just “getting away from it all,” Orlando provides it all. The area is served by all major car rental providers, the most convenient way to get around in this vacation paradise. The best way to find cheap car rentals in Orlando is to compare car rentals online at least several days before you visit Orlando.

Walt Disney World

The world’s largest and most-visited family recreational resort, Walt Disney World consists of four different theme parks. Magic Kingdom is patterned after the original Disneyland and features exhibits and rides based on classic Disney characters and films. Epcot (or Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) is devoted to technical innovation and international culture. Epcot is notable for its “futuristic” approach, particularly in architecture. Epcot has become famous for the festivals it hosts annually, including the Flower and Garden and Food and Wine Festivals. Hollywood Studios is a show business-themed park, celebrating the Golden Age (1930s-40s) of Hollywood. The largest theme park in the world is Animal Kingdom. The park is dedicated to animal conservation, of which Walt Disney was a pioneer.

Universal Orlando

Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure comprise the Universal Orlando Resort. Universal Studios offers rides and exhibits created around current and classic action-type films. From Jaws, Men in Black, Twister and even The Simpsons, old and young alike can relive their favorites and even be a part of the films via innovative 3-and-4D technology. Universal Studios is also a shopping and dining paradise, offering visitors a total vacation adventure.

Islands of Adventure is a world of exploration, with six islands devoted to classic adventure films. Jurassic Park and the Harry Potter-themed island, along with Seuss Landing is especially popular with children. Enjoy the Green Eggs and Ham Cafe and try to keep the kids from returning to the Seuss-themed rides.

Orlando Sunrise Hot-Air Balloon Ride

For a unique experience, try a leisurely hot-air balloon flight over Orlando and surrounding area. The many lakes, forests, orange groves and swamps take on an entirely new perspective from above. Also see the area’s theme parks as few have ever seen them. After this early-morning adventure, you’ll be treated to a scrumptious all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral and Everglades Airboat Safari

With so many theme parks in and around Orlando, perhaps a trip to a REAL “theme-park” should be in the plans. Only 45 minutes from Orlando, easily arranged through one of the region’s many car rental agencies, is
the vast Kennedy Space Center, launching pad for the future. Experience a simulated moon launch, tour an actual moon rocket and meet a real astronaut.

After this thrilling trip to the stars, hop aboard an airboat for a once-in-a-lifetime experience across the Florida Everglades. See exotic plants, flowers up close and personal as well as viewing alligators in their natural habitat. This 40-minute ride gives visitors a real taste of the Everglades.
