Visiting Warren Ohio

Warren, Ohio is home to a multitude of family-friendly activities. From visiting historic museums to having a blast at the Equarium at Eastwood Mall, there is sure to be something for everyone.
The First Flight Lunar Module site is a fenced-in enclosure, open to the public. The site marks the place where Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon, took his first airplane ride in 1936. On the site is a half-size replica of the Eagle module, approximately 13 feet tall and two tons in weight. The module is situated on cratered concrete, which represents the pocked surface of the moon. The site is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Guided tours are available with advance reservations.
The Equarium at Eastwood Mall is also a fun and educational place to visit. The equarium features a 4, 500 gallon shark tank along with two 2, 500 gallon tanks filled with a variety of salt water fish.
There are plenty of seasonal activities in or near Warren as well. For example, many of the local farms offer fall festivals and family-friendly activities such as pumpkin carving, apple picking, corn mazes and hayrides. In the spring, the many zoos and botanical gardens surrounding Warren are the perfect place to visit. Wagon Trails Animal Park is a family-owned and-operated animal park that is like no other. The animals at this resort are natives of six different continents, and include camels, zebras, capybaras, coatimundis, donkeys and African porcupines. The 60 acres of enclosed woods and ponds provide a perfect environment where the animals can roam freely.
